ABOUT HYGEIA GLOBAL UNIVERSITY

Hygeia Global University is a private higher education institution committed to providing quality, affordable, and industry-relevant education in Business, Health Sciences, and Information Technology. ACCREDITATION AND REGULATORY STATUS

Hygeia Global University is registered and operates in accordance with the Higher Education Act No. 4 of 2013 of the Laws of Zambia, which provides for the regulation, registration, and quality assurance of higher education institutions.

The University is registered with the Higher Education Authority (HEA), the statutory body mandated under the Higher Education Act No. 4 of 2013 to regulate and monitor higher education institutions and programmes in Zambia.

All academic programmes offered by Hygeia Global University are submitted for approval and accreditation by the Higher Education Authority (HEA) in line with the provisions of the Act. The University remains fully committed to compliance with HEA requirements relating to governance, academic staffing, curriculum standards, infrastructure, student support services, and quality assurance systems.

Hygeia Global University maintains internal quality assurance mechanisms to ensure continuous monitoring, evaluation, and improvement of teaching, learning, assessment, and administrative processes. Regular programme reviews are conducted to ensure alignment with national qualification frameworks and internationally accepted best practices.

Prospective students, parents, and stakeholders are encouraged to verify the University’s registration status and programme accreditation with the Higher Education Authority (HEA) for additional assurance.

Hostel Facilities

We understand that most of the students moving away from home feel out of place; hence we strive to make the transition as smooth as possible by offering comfortable and safe stay in the campus. The University offers separate hostels for boys and girls supervised 24X7 by wardens and vigilant security personnel. Life-on-campus not only helps students to study but to socialize with their peers. Students have the luxury of being located outside the bustle of the city, yet not far from the attractions of the city during weekends. Friendships generated in the students’ life lasts longer.

Sports Facilities

With the Objective of developing a Sound Mind with a Sound Physical Health, overall personality of students is dealt with prime priority at Hygeia Global University.

At Hygeia, we emphasize on Sporting and allied activities keeping a pace with Academics. The university encourages students to attain sporting excellence and provides all the necessary facilities and equipment to the students for maintaining physical fitness and good health. The infrastructure has been designed with good facilities for sports as well as recreational activities.

Library

Library occupies a place of pride Hygeia Global University and is an essential component of the university’s outstanding research and education mission. Recognizing the role of library and information services in meeting the requirements of the university’s academic, research and training programmers, the Library was set-up as one of the key divisions of the Hygeia Global University.

It is a most lively place on the campus providing a safe, comfortable and friendly environment that enables learning and advancement of knowledge, and promotes discovery and scholarship.
