Hygeia Global University College is pleased to announce the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Ministry of Youth, Sport and Arts to provide 20 fully funded tuition scholarships to deserving Zambian youths, marking a significant step toward expanding access to higher education and youth empowerment.
The partnership reflects a shared commitment between Government and Hygeia Global University College to promote access to quality education and equip young people with the knowledge, skills, and opportunities needed to contribute meaningfully to national development.
Speaking during the signing ceremony, the Minister of Youth, Sport and Arts, Hon. Elvis C. Nkandu, reaffirmed Government’s commitment to ensuring that no young person is left behind in accessing education and opportunities for personal and professional development.
Hon. Nkandu stated that the initiative is aligned with the priorities of the Eighth National Development Plan (8NDP), which emphasizes youth empowerment, skills development, and employment creation as critical drivers of Zambia’s socio-economic transformation.
“This partnership is a clear demonstration that education remains one of the most powerful tools for transforming lives and building a productive nation,” said Hon. Nkandu.
Under the agreement, the scholarships will provide 100 percent tuition sponsorship in accredited programmes offered by Hygeia Global University College in the following areas:
Business and Management
Education
Health Programmes
Computer and ICT
Speaking on behalf of the institution, the Principal of Hygeia Global University College, Dr. Ignatius E. Chingangu, expressed the institution’s pride in partnering with Government to expand educational opportunities for young people.
